Do you have a dog? Do you like to dance? Did you know that creative, physical interaction with your canine can be healthy, fun, and rewarding to you both?
A new book from award-winning TFH Publications shows how anyone, at any level, can get started in the exciting new sport of Canine Freestyle: Dancing With Dogs: The Complete How-To and Troubleshooting Guide to Canine Freestyle ($19.95; ISBN: 978-0-7938-0673-7). Written by expert trainer Mary Ann Nester, Dancing With Dogs presents the basics of getting started in this hot new dog sport (also known as Musical Freestyle and Heelwork to Music) that combines obedience, tricks, dance, and enjoyment for both you and your dog. Step-by-step instructions help you and your dog build skills together, with an emphasis on areas of the sport that competitors most want clarified. This practical guide also teaches how to create an innovative and exciting performance from start to finish. Troubleshooting tips are presented in an easy-to-follow question-and-answer format to address common problems such as difficulty with heelwork, weaving, and various movements.
