Do you have a dog?  Do you like to dance?  Did you know that creative, physical interaction with your canine can be healthy, fun, and rewarding to you both?

A new book from award-winning TFH Publications shows how anyone, at any level, can get started in the exciting new sport of Canine Freestyle: Dancing With Dogs: The Complete How-To and Troubleshooting Guide to Canine Freestyle ($19.95; ISBN: 978-0-7938-0673-7).  Written by expert trainer Mary Ann Nester, Dancing With Dogs presents the basics of getting started in this hot new dog sport (also known as Musical Freestyle and Heelwork to Music) that combines obedience, tricks, dance, and enjoyment for both you and your dog.  Step-by-step instructions help you and your dog build skills together, with an emphasis on areas of the sport that competitors most want clarified.  This practical guide also teaches how to create an innovative and exciting performance from start to finish.  Troubleshooting tips are presented in an easy-to-follow question-and-answer format to address common problems such as difficulty with heelwork, weaving, and various movements.

About the Author:
Mary Ann Nester is a member of the Association of Pet Dog Trainers (APDT), an Agility Club Approved Instructor, a licensed SAQ® (Speed, Agility, and Quickness) trainer, and an accredited trainer in the DAQ® (Dog Agility and Quickness) method.  She has been a guest expert on BBC Radio Northampton and has posed as the Agility Auntie for the Internet magazine Agilitynet for many years.  Mary Ann has written for agility magazines The Voice and The Eye, and she is an official measurer for the Kennel Club.  She resides in England.

Also new this fall:
TFH is proud to debut two new series of guides, and other new titles this fall. DogLife: Lifelong Care for Your Dog™ is the first dog breed book series to discuss each aspect of a dog’s life chronologically in three different parts—puppy, adult, senior—to better target key information, all in one affordable volume.  The series premieres this fall with eight new editions based on highly popular dog breeds: American Pit Bull Terrier; Boston Terrier; Boxer; Bulldog; Chihuahua; German Shepherd; Golden Retriever; and Labrador Retriever.

Breed Lover’s Guide™ is a new series of guides that take dog care and training to the next level for very special dog breeds that are less often seen.  Four books mark the series’ release this fall:  French Bulldog; Great Dane; Greyhound, and Rat Terrier.
