Nylabone® to launch a line of Plush Toys Cheeky Squeaky Pets

NEPTUNE CITY, NJ - TFH/Nylabone, the world's largest manufacturer of premium dog products and publisher of high-quality pet books, today announced that they have signed a licensing agreement with Scary Stories, Inc. to create a hip and fun character based line of plush dog and cat toys called Cheeky Squeaky Pets. Scary Stories, Inc. is the creator of Naughty Naughty Pets, animal characters based on real life New York City pets.
Wendy Ann Gardner, founder of Scary Stories, Inc., is an artist originally from Toronto, Canada who began her career as a painter. Inspired by one of her own paintings, Vicious French Bulldog was created as the first of these satirical plush toys - for humans. The idea soon caught on, and now Scary Stories has a line of plush toys, t-shirts, books, and lollipops all over the US, Canada, the UK and Japan. Currently, Scary Stories is developing an animated TV show based on their characters.
Scary Stories, Inc. characters have recently been featured in such publications as The New York Times Sunday Styles, New York Magazine, Playthings, Rosie Magazine, House and Garden, In Style, Lucky and Mademoiselle.
Nylabone will be working with Scary Stories to develop an exclusive line of characters that will be made into plush toys for dogs and cats. Much like Scary Stories' Naughty Naughty Pets, these exclusive characters will be based on quirky real life pets, each with its own unique personality and simple modern look.
